Al-A'raf 7:151

وَلَمّا سُقِطَ في أَيديهِم وَرَأَوا أَنَّهُم قَد ضَلّوا قالوا لَئِن لَم يَرحَمنا رَبُّنا وَيَغفِر لَنا لَنَكونَنَّ مِنَ الخاسِرينَ

And when regret overcame them and they saw that they had gone astray, they said, "If our Lord does not have mercy upon us and forgive us, we will surely be among the losers."

وَلَمّا رَجَعَ موسىٰ إِلىٰ قَومِهِ غَضبانَ أَسِفًا قالَ بِئسَما خَلَفتُموني مِن بَعدي ۖ أَعَجِلتُم أَمرَ رَبِّكُم ۖ وَأَلقَى الأَلواحَ وَأَخَذَ بِرَأسِ أَخيهِ يَجُرُّهُ إِلَيهِ ۚ قالَ ابنَ أُمَّ إِنَّ القَومَ استَضعَفوني وَكادوا يَقتُلونَني فَلا تُشمِت بِيَ الأَعداءَ وَلا تَجعَلني مَعَ القَومِ الظّالِمينَ

And when Moses returned to his people, angry and grieved, he said, "How wretched is that by which you have replaced me after [my departure]. Were you impatient over the matter of your Lord?" And he threw down the tablets and seized his brother by [the hair of] his head, pulling him toward him. [Aaron] said, "O son of my mother, indeed the people oppressed me and were about to kill me, so let not the enemies rejoice over me and do not place me among the wrongdoing people."

قالَ رَبِّ اغفِر لي وَلِأَخي وَأَدخِلنا في رَحمَتِكَ ۖ وَأَنتَ أَرحَمُ الرّاحِمينَ

[Moses] said, "My Lord, forgive me and my brother and admit us into Your mercy, for You are the most merciful of the merciful."

إِنَّ الَّذينَ اتَّخَذُوا العِجلَ سَيَنالُهُم غَضَبٌ مِن رَبِّهِم وَذِلَّةٌ فِي الحَياةِ الدُّنيا ۚ وَكَذٰلِكَ نَجزِي المُفتَرينَ

Indeed, those who took the calf [for worship] will obtain anger from their Lord and humiliation in the life of this world, and thus do We recompense the inventors [of falsehood].

وَالَّذينَ عَمِلُوا السَّيِّئَاتِ ثُمَّ تابوا مِن بَعدِها وَآمَنوا إِنَّ رَبَّكَ مِن بَعدِها لَغَفورٌ رَحيمٌ

But those who committed misdeeds and then repented after them and believed - indeed your Lord, thereafter, is Forgiving and Merciful.

An-Nisa 4:96

يا أَيُّهَا الَّذينَ آمَنوا إِذا ضَرَبتُم في سَبيلِ اللَّهِ فَتَبَيَّنوا وَلا تَقولوا لِمَن أَلقىٰ إِلَيكُمُ السَّلامَ لَستَ مُؤمِنًا تَبتَغونَ عَرَضَ الحَياةِ الدُّنيا فَعِندَ اللَّهِ مَغانِمُ كَثيرَةٌ ۚ كَذٰلِكَ كُنتُم مِن قَبلُ فَمَنَّ اللَّهُ عَلَيكُم فَتَبَيَّنوا ۚ إِنَّ اللَّهَ كانَ بِما تَعمَلونَ خَبيرًا

O you who have believed, when you go forth [to fight] in the cause of Allah, investigate; and do not say to one who gives you [a greeting of] peace "You are not a believer," aspiring for the goods of worldly life; for with Allah are many acquisitions. You [yourselves] were like that before; then Allah conferred His favor upon you, so investigate. Indeed Allah is ever, with what you do, Acquainted.

لا يَستَوِي القاعِدونَ مِنَ المُؤمِنينَ غَيرُ أُولِي الضَّرَرِ وَالمُجاهِدونَ في سَبيلِ اللَّهِ بِأَموالِهِم وَأَنفُسِهِم ۚ فَضَّلَ اللَّهُ المُجاهِدينَ بِأَموالِهِم وَأَنفُسِهِم عَلَى القاعِدينَ دَرَجَةً ۚ وَكُلًّا وَعَدَ اللَّهُ الحُسنىٰ ۚ وَفَضَّلَ اللَّهُ المُجاهِدينَ عَلَى القاعِدينَ أَجرًا عَظيمًا

Not equal are those believers remaining [at home] - other than the disabled - and the mujahideen, [who strive and fight] in the cause of Allah with their wealth and their lives. Allah has preferred the mujahideen through their wealth and their lives over those who remain [behind], by degrees. And to both Allah has promised the best [reward]. But Allah has preferred the mujahideen over those who remain [behind] with a great reward -

دَرَجاتٍ مِنهُ وَمَغفِرَةً وَرَحمَةً ۚ وَكانَ اللَّهُ غَفورًا رَحيمًا

Degrees [of high position] from Him and forgiveness and mercy. And Allah is ever Forgiving and Merciful.

إِنَّ الَّذينَ تَوَفّاهُمُ المَلائِكَةُ ظالِمي أَنفُسِهِم قالوا فيمَ كُنتُم ۖ قالوا كُنّا مُستَضعَفينَ فِي الأَرضِ ۚ قالوا أَلَم تَكُن أَرضُ اللَّهِ واسِعَةً فَتُهاجِروا فيها ۚ فَأُولـٰئِكَ مَأواهُم جَهَنَّمُ ۖ وَساءَت مَصيرًا

Indeed, those whom the angels take [in death] while wronging themselves - [the angels] will say, "In what [condition] were you?" They will say, "We were oppressed in the land." The angels will say, "Was not the earth of Allah spacious [enough] for you to emigrate therein?" For those, their refuge is Hell - and evil it is as a destination.

إِلَّا المُستَضعَفينَ مِنَ الرِّجالِ وَالنِّساءِ وَالوِلدانِ لا يَستَطيعونَ حيلَةً وَلا يَهتَدونَ سَبيلًا

Except for the oppressed among men, women and children who cannot devise a plan nor are they directed to a way -

Yusuf 12:98

فَلَمّا أَن جاءَ البَشيرُ أَلقاهُ عَلىٰ وَجهِهِ فَارتَدَّ بَصيرًا ۖ قالَ أَلَم أَقُل لَكُم إِنّي أَعلَمُ مِنَ اللَّهِ ما لا تَعلَمونَ

And when the bearer of good tidings arrived, he cast it over his face, and he returned [once again] seeing. He said, "Did I not tell you that I know from Allah that which you do not know?"

قالوا يا أَبانَا استَغفِر لَنا ذُنوبَنا إِنّا كُنّا خاطِئينَ

They said, "O our father, ask for us forgiveness of our sins; indeed, we have been sinners."

قالَ سَوفَ أَستَغفِرُ لَكُم رَبّي ۖ إِنَّهُ هُوَ الغَفورُ الرَّحيمُ

He said, "I will ask forgiveness for you from my Lord. Indeed, it is He who is the Forgiving, the Merciful."

فَلَمّا دَخَلوا عَلىٰ يوسُفَ آوىٰ إِلَيهِ أَبَوَيهِ وَقالَ ادخُلوا مِصرَ إِن شاءَ اللَّهُ آمِنينَ

And when they entered upon Joseph, he took his parents to himself and said, "Enter Egypt, Allah willing, safe [and secure]."

وَرَفَعَ أَبَوَيهِ عَلَى العَرشِ وَخَرّوا لَهُ سُجَّدًا ۖ وَقالَ يا أَبَتِ هـٰذا تَأويلُ رُؤيايَ مِن قَبلُ قَد جَعَلَها رَبّي حَقًّا ۖ وَقَد أَحسَنَ بي إِذ أَخرَجَني مِنَ السِّجنِ وَجاءَ بِكُم مِنَ البَدوِ مِن بَعدِ أَن نَزَغَ الشَّيطانُ بَيني وَبَينَ إِخوَتي ۚ إِنَّ رَبّي لَطيفٌ لِما يَشاءُ ۚ إِنَّهُ هُوَ العَليمُ الحَكيمُ

And he raised his parents upon the throne, and they bowed to him in prostration. And he said, "O my father, this is the explanation of my vision of before. My Lord has made it reality. And He was certainly good to me when He took me out of prison and brought you [here] from bedouin life after Satan had induced [estrangement] between me and my brothers. Indeed, my Lord is Subtle in what He wills. Indeed, it is He who is the Knowing, the Wise.

Al-Kahf 18:58

وَرَبُّكَ الغَفورُ ذُو الرَّحمَةِ ۖ لَو يُؤاخِذُهُم بِما كَسَبوا لَعَجَّلَ لَهُمُ العَذابَ ۚ بَل لَهُم مَوعِدٌ لَن يَجِدوا مِن دونِهِ مَوئِلًا

And your Lord is the Forgiving, full of mercy. If He were to impose blame upon them for what they earned, He would have hastened for them the punishment. Rather, for them is an appointment from which they will never find an escape.

Luqman 31:3

An-Nisa 4:110
