At-Tawbah 9:60

وَمِنهُم مَن يَلمِزُكَ فِي الصَّدَقاتِ فَإِن أُعطوا مِنها رَضوا وَإِن لَم يُعطَوا مِنها إِذا هُم يَسخَطونَ

And among them are some who criticize you concerning the [distribution of] charities. If they are given from them, they approve; but if they are not given from them, at once they become angry.

وَلَو أَنَّهُم رَضوا ما آتاهُمُ اللَّهُ وَرَسولُهُ وَقالوا حَسبُنَا اللَّهُ سَيُؤتينَا اللَّهُ مِن فَضلِهِ وَرَسولُهُ إِنّا إِلَى اللَّهِ راغِبونَ

If only they had been satisfied with what Allah and His Messenger gave them and said, "Sufficient for us is Allah; Allah will give us of His bounty, and [so will] His Messenger; indeed, we are desirous toward Allah," [it would have been better for them].

إِنَّمَا الصَّدَقاتُ لِلفُقَراءِ وَالمَساكينِ وَالعامِلينَ عَلَيها وَالمُؤَلَّفَةِ قُلوبُهُم وَفِي الرِّقابِ وَالغارِمينَ وَفي سَبيلِ اللَّهِ وَابنِ السَّبيلِ ۖ فَريضَةً مِنَ اللَّهِ ۗ وَاللَّهُ عَليمٌ حَكيمٌ

Zakah expenditures are only for the poor and for the needy and for those employed to collect [zakah] and for bringing hearts together [for Islam] and for freeing captives [or slaves] and for those in debt and for the cause of Allah and for the [stranded] traveler - an obligation [imposed] by Allah. And Allah is Knowing and Wise.

وَمِنهُمُ الَّذينَ يُؤذونَ النَّبِيَّ وَيَقولونَ هُوَ أُذُنٌ ۚ قُل أُذُنُ خَيرٍ لَكُم يُؤمِنُ بِاللَّهِ وَيُؤمِنُ لِلمُؤمِنينَ وَرَحمَةٌ لِلَّذينَ آمَنوا مِنكُم ۚ وَالَّذينَ يُؤذونَ رَسولَ اللَّهِ لَهُم عَذابٌ أَليمٌ

And among them are those who abuse the Prophet and say, "He is an ear." Say, "[It is] an ear of goodness for you that believes in Allah and believes the believers and [is] a mercy to those who believe among you." And those who abuse the Messenger of Allah - for them is a painful punishment.

يَحلِفونَ بِاللَّهِ لَكُم لِيُرضوكُم وَاللَّهُ وَرَسولُهُ أَحَقُّ أَن يُرضوهُ إِن كانوا مُؤمِنينَ

They swear by Allah to you [Muslims] to satisfy you. But Allah and His Messenger are more worthy for them to satisfy, if they should be believers.

Al-Mu'minun 23:4

الَّذينَ هُم في صَلاتِهِم خاشِعونَ

They who are during their prayer humbly submissive

وَالَّذينَ هُم عَنِ اللَّغوِ مُعرِضونَ

And they who turn away from ill speech

وَالَّذينَ هُم لِلزَّكاةِ فاعِلونَ

And they who are observant of zakah

وَالَّذينَ هُم لِفُروجِهِم حافِظونَ

And they who guard their private parts

إِلّا عَلىٰ أَزواجِهِم أَو ما مَلَكَت أَيمانُهُم فَإِنَّهُم غَيرُ مَلومينَ

Except from their wives or those their right hands possess, for indeed, they will not be blamed -

Al-Hadid 57:18

أَلَم يَأنِ لِلَّذينَ آمَنوا أَن تَخشَعَ قُلوبُهُم لِذِكرِ اللَّهِ وَما نَزَلَ مِنَ الحَقِّ وَلا يَكونوا كَالَّذينَ أوتُوا الكِتابَ مِن قَبلُ فَطالَ عَلَيهِمُ الأَمَدُ فَقَسَت قُلوبُهُم ۖ وَكَثيرٌ مِنهُم فاسِقونَ

Has the time not come for those who have believed that their hearts should become humbly submissive at the remembrance of Allah and what has come down of the truth? And let them not be like those who were given the Scripture before, and a long period passed over them, so their hearts hardened; and many of them are defiantly disobedient.

اعلَموا أَنَّ اللَّهَ يُحيِي الأَرضَ بَعدَ مَوتِها ۚ قَد بَيَّنّا لَكُمُ الآياتِ لَعَلَّكُم تَعقِلونَ

Know that Allah gives life to the earth after its lifelessness. We have made clear to you the signs; perhaps you will understand.

إِنَّ المُصَّدِّقينَ وَالمُصَّدِّقاتِ وَأَقرَضُوا اللَّهَ قَرضًا حَسَنًا يُضاعَفُ لَهُم وَلَهُم أَجرٌ كَريمٌ

Indeed, the men who practice charity and the women who practice charity and [they who] have loaned Allah a goodly loan - it will be multiplied for them, and they will have a noble reward.

وَالَّذينَ آمَنوا بِاللَّهِ وَرُسُلِهِ أُولـٰئِكَ هُمُ الصِّدّيقونَ ۖ وَالشُّهَداءُ عِندَ رَبِّهِم لَهُم أَجرُهُم وَنورُهُم ۖ وَالَّذينَ كَفَروا وَكَذَّبوا بِآياتِنا أُولـٰئِكَ أَصحابُ الجَحيمِ

And those who have believed in Allah and His messengers - those are [in the ranks of] the supporters of truth and the martyrs, with their Lord. For them is their reward and their light. But those who have disbelieved and denied Our verses - those are the companions of Hellfire.

اعلَموا أَنَّمَا الحَياةُ الدُّنيا لَعِبٌ وَلَهوٌ وَزينَةٌ وَتَفاخُرٌ بَينَكُم وَتَكاثُرٌ فِي الأَموالِ وَالأَولادِ ۖ كَمَثَلِ غَيثٍ أَعجَبَ الكُفّارَ نَباتُهُ ثُمَّ يَهيجُ فَتَراهُ مُصفَرًّا ثُمَّ يَكونُ حُطامًا ۖ وَفِي الآخِرَةِ عَذابٌ شَديدٌ وَمَغفِرَةٌ مِنَ اللَّهِ وَرِضوانٌ ۚ وَمَا الحَياةُ الدُّنيا إِلّا مَتاعُ الغُرورِ

Know that the life of this world is but amusement and diversion and adornment and boasting to one another and competition in increase of wealth and children - like the example of a rain whose [resulting] plant growth pleases the tillers; then it dries and you see it turned yellow; then it becomes [scattered] debris. And in the Hereafter is severe punishment and forgiveness from Allah and approval. And what is the worldly life except the enjoyment of delusion.

Al-Baqarah 2:110

And establish prayer and give zakah, and whatever good you put forward for yourselves - you will find it with Allah. Indeed, Allah of what you do, is Seeing.

At-Tawbah 9:103

Ar-Rum 30:39

وَما آتَيتُم مِن رِبًا لِيَربُوَ في أَموالِ النّاسِ فَلا يَربو عِندَ اللَّهِ ۖ وَما آتَيتُم مِن زَكاةٍ تُريدونَ وَجهَ اللَّهِ فَأُولـٰئِكَ هُمُ المُضعِفونَ

And whatever you give for interest to increase within the wealth of people will not increase with Allah. But what you give in zakah, desiring the countenance of Allah - those are the multipliers.

Al-Baqarah 2:280

[Charity is] for the poor who have been restricted for the cause of Allah, unable to move about in the land. An ignorant [person] would think them self-sufficient because of their restraint, but you will know them by their [characteristic] sign. They do not ask people persistently [or at all]. And whatever you spend of good - indeed, Allah is Knowing of it.

Al-Mujadila 58:13

أَأَشفَقتُم أَن تُقَدِّموا بَينَ يَدَي نَجواكُم صَدَقاتٍ ۚ فَإِذ لَم تَفعَلوا وَتابَ اللَّهُ عَلَيكُم فَأَقيمُوا الصَّلاةَ وَآتُوا الزَّكاةَ وَأَطيعُوا اللَّهَ وَرَسولَهُ ۚ وَاللَّهُ خَبيرٌ بِما تَعمَلونَ

Have you feared to present before your consultation charities? Then when you do not and Allah has forgiven you, then [at least] establish prayer and give zakah and obey Allah and His Messenger. And Allah is Acquainted with what you do.

Yusuf 12:88

So when they entered upon Joseph, they said, "O 'Azeez, adversity has touched us and our family, and we have come with goods poor in quality, but give us full measure and be charitable to us. Indeed, Allah rewards the charitable."

At-Tawbah 9:75

And among them are those who made a covenant with Allah, [saying], "If He should give us from His bounty, we will surely spend in charity, and we will surely be among the righteous."

Al-Baqarah 2:215

Al-Mujadila 58:12

Al-Baqarah 2:271

Al-Munafiqun 63:10

وَأَنفِقوا مِن ما رَزَقناكُم مِن قَبلِ أَن يَأتِيَ أَحَدَكُمُ المَوتُ فَيَقولَ رَبِّ لَولا أَخَّرتَني إِلىٰ أَجَلٍ قَريبٍ فَأَصَّدَّقَ وَأَكُن مِنَ الصّالِحينَ

And spend [in the way of Allah] from what We have provided you before death approaches one of you and he says, "My Lord, if only You would delay me for a brief term so I would give charity and be among the righteous."

Al-Mu'minun 23:60

And decree for us in this world [that which is] good and [also] in the Hereafter; indeed, we have turned back to You." [Allah] said, "My punishment - I afflict with it whom I will, but My mercy encompasses all things." So I will decree it [especially] for those who fear Me and give zakah and those who believe in Our verses -
