لِيَقطَعَ طَرَفًا مِنَ الَّذينَ كَفَروا أَو يَكبِتَهُم فَيَنقَلِبوا خائِبينَ

That He might cut down a section of the disbelievers or suppress them so that they turn back disappointed.
